DUI: Amandeep Singh Killed Roslyn Boys
Two 14-year-old boys died in a crash caused by a suspected drunk driver of Indian Origin going the wrong way on a Long Island expressway yesterday.
In a car crash near Jericho late Wednesday night, Amandeep Singh killed two students, Drew Hassenbein and Ethan Falkowitz, both 14, after irresponsibly driving under the influence.

A drunk pick-up truck driver collides with a car carrying two 14-year-old boys on Long Island, resulting in their deaths.
Nassau County Police reported that Amandeep Singh, 34, was driving his 2019 Dodge Ram in the wrong direction when he crashed into a 2019 Alfa Romeo carrying four male teens.
Sadly, the 14-year-old boys, whose identities were not disclosed by the authorities, were declared deceased at the site of the incident.
The car carrying the teenagers collided with a 2023 Volvo, which was also occupied by a 49-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy, after the initial crash, as per the authorities.
Both individuals were attended to by medical personnel at the location and discharged after receiving treatment for minor injuries.
Authorities reported that Amandeep Singh, a resident of Roslyn, was apprehended and transported to a nearby medical facility to treat minor injuries.
He is charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, D.U.I., and multiple manslaughter and assault charges. He was anticipated to be arraigned Thursday at the First District Court in Hempstead.
At the moment, law enforcement could not verify who was operating the Alfa Romeo among the teenagers.
N.B.C. New York reported that Hassenbein and Falkowitz were considered exceptional players on their high school’s tennis team. Hassenbein was even ranked at a national level.
Captain Stephen Fitzpatrick, who leads the Nassau homicide squad, stated that the scene was one of the most devastating he had witnessed in a while.
Singh had twice the legal limit of alcohol in his blood and was so impaired that he mistook Long Island for New Jersey during Police questioning, according to Captain Fitzpatrick.
Singh questioned the officers, saying, “What brings you here? This is New Jersey,” due to his intoxicated state.
Amandeep Singh Had Criminal Past Dating Back To 2006
On Thursday, footage of Singh emerged, showing him being led in handcuffs while donning a white hazmat suit.
He is being charged with several offenses, including aggravated vehicular homicide, first-degree manslaughter, and second-degree manslaughter.
“Amandeep Singh Killed Those angels. I wonder when the American Police will start taking D.U.I. seriously. The constitution is rigged, and these scumbags do not deserve to live.” said a person in their Facebook post.
According to Newsday, Singh’s lawyer, James Kousouros, revealed that his client is a citizen of the United States and has a criminal record going back to 2006.
Given his criminal history, including an underage D.U.I., District Court Judge Joseph Nocella considered Singh a flight risk and recommended that he be placed under protective custody.
According to Meryl Waxman Ben-Levy, the Roslyn Board of Education president, Falkowitz and Hassenbein were returning from a triumphant tennis match.
Melissa Wright, a mother of a youth tennis player, referred to Falkowitz and Hassenbein as good children with supportive families who nurtured their skills.
In a message addressed to parents, Allison Brown, the Superintendent of Roslyn Schools, stated that crisis teams would be available on campus to aid students in the aftermath of the tragedy.
